According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, changes in Stamp Duty and economic uncertainties affected the housing market in February.
The latest UK Residential Property Survey indicated that these uncertainties have diminished the momentum in the UK housing market.
The survey showed a decline in buyer demand, with a net balance of -14% in February, a decrease from -1% in January. This represents the weakest performance in the survey's measure of buyer demand since November 2023. Read more here.
