Solicitor and Director
Kate studied at the university of Aberdeen and after training with a prestigious national law firm qualified in 2001 and commissioned into the Royal Air Force Directorate of Legal Services as a Flight Lieutenant.
Her role was Command Legal Adviser, responsible for providing legal advice to HQ Air Command on military law, air law and health and safety law, drafting of legislation in relation to the Armed Forces, advising police in relation to criminal investigations and criminal defence advocacy to legal personnel of all rank.
After military service Kate returned to home turf and took the reins at Masson Cairns as a partner in 2005. Bringing forward her experience she now runs the firm and prides herself in sympathetically advising clients both locally and further afield in a myriad of legal issues.
